The outreach committee is still fairly new to MYNA. It was introduced only last year, after
we recognized the growing need for charitable community work. We managed to visit the food bank, and even
went out into the streets, distributing food to the homeless.
Insha Allah, this year we will continue in the same fashion we hope to have as least one charity
event a month...such as visiting shelters, having food and clothing drives, and helping out at soup kitchens.
Insha Allah, we will work with both the Muslim and non-Muslim communities in doing so...for poverty,
homelessness, and misfortune knows no religious boundaries.
There is one aspect though, which we will be working with the Muslim community only. There are countless
amounts of Islamic organizations within Ontario alone, which ultimately all strive towards the goal of pleasing Allah.
Our goal is to unite as many as possible so that we can all work together to gain Allah's favour.
Now, the biggest project the outreach committee will work on will also involve the da'wah commitee. Insha
Allah, by the end of this year, most the highschools in both the Peel Region and the Greater Toronto Area will have initiated
an MSA within their respective schools. We will be focussing all of our energy on the task of eastablishing
links within the schools with interested Muslim students.
Insha Allah, with your support, the outreach committee will be able to succesfully achieve these goals.
